Register for Classes

Regardless of which track you pursue, you’ll need to complete your courses in a specific order. If you have not already, please review the course sequence here. You will be eligible to register for electives after completing quad 4 core courses. 

Set up Your Student Accounts:

  1. Activate your NetID and create your NetIDPassword. These credentials will allow you to access many Rice University accounts
  2. Log into ESTHER using your Net ID and ensure your contact information is accurate.

[H3] Register for Classes in ESTHER

You will need to remove holds prior to registration. Please use this guide to learn how to remove holds and register for the courses below. You will need to register for the following courses:

  • MGMT 501
  • MGMT 570
  • MGMT 510

Please note: If you plan on pursuing an extended timeline please connect with a student success adviser to discuss your registration plan. 

If you are starting in the Winter or Summer quadmesters you will also be registering for the MGMT 513 and MGMT 514. These classes will register you for the on campus Residential. For the Residential you will be expected to be on campus Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon, with most students arriving on Wednesday evening. The Rice Residential fee for this event is $1,000 ($500 for each course). Rice Business will book and cover your room at a hotel near campus, where you are required to stay for the duration of the Rice Core Residential. Learn more about these learning experiences.
