Take the Executive Assessment to Show Your Readiness for MBA@Rice

As a hardworking professional with a track record of success, you've proven your commitment to advancing your career. Here at Rice Business, we value that hard-won knowledge and real-world experience—the type of experience that other standardized tests like the GMAT or GRE can’t calculate.

That’s why, whether you were denied a waiver or are still debating which test to take, we strongly encourage the Executive Assessment when applying for our program. This assessment requires far less of a time commitment and helps measure your business school readiness while providing insight into potential areas for development as you return to student life.

Barbara Ostdiek

"For prospects who are looking for an alternative to the GMAT/GRE, or even if you were denied a waiver, the Executive Assessment is a great choice. The EA is a great measure of the quantitative and qualitative analytical skills we're looking for in our students, and the test gives prospects a very good sense of how prepared they are for our program."
Barbara Ostdiek,
Senior Associate Dean of Degree Programs

How to Prepare

Much like the MBA@Rice program, the Executive Assessment was designed with the life of a busy professional in mind. It weighs your business school readiness as of today, eliminating the need for extensive preparation.

The assessment will evaluate the skills you already use in your day-to-day work, with an emphasis on integrated, verbal and quantitative reasoning. We suggest exploring the practice assessment questions to review these key competencies enough to feel comfortable responding to each question in a timed environment. Practice assessments are also readily available online to help with preparation.

After you complete the test, you will receive valuable insight into your academic strengths and weaknesses. This personalized feedback allows you to sharpen your skills before classes begin, ensuring a firm foundation for your MBA education.

Executive Assessment registrants can take the test up to two times.
