Admissions Overview
To apply to MBA@Rice, you must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
We accept applications on a rolling basis and evaluate your candidacy as a package—i.e., based on your essays, virtual interview, leadership roles, community involvement, career progression and test scores as a whole.
The current application fee of $200 is being waived for all applicants.
TEST SCORE REQUIREMENTS
GMAT OR GRE
GMAT or GRE scores from the last five years are required to apply. Applications may be reviewed with unofficial scores, but if you are accepted into the program, your official scores must be submitted by the time you start classes.
GMAT or GRE waivers are available for select applicants. To be considered for a GMAT or GRE waiver, you must have one of the following:
seven or more years of full-time work experience
a graduate degree in a quantitative field
a terminal degree (e.g., M.D., J.D., Ph.D.)
a quantitatively oriented professional certification
other standardized test scores demonstrating comparable quantitative ability
We also accept SATand ACT scores in lieu of the GMAT or GRE.
