Craig Carroll

Craig Carroll, Ph.D. is the Communications Institute Leader for the Center for Marketing & Communications at The Conference Board. He is the Executive Director of the Observatory on Corporate Reputation (OCR) and Lecturer of Management in Rice University’s Graduate School of Business, Department of Strategy and Environment. In addition, he’s served as an adjunct professor at several leading universities around the globe including New York University, Singapore Management University, Copenhagen Business School, and IE University.
Dr. Carroll has published three books. The SAGE Encyclopedia of Corporate Reputation (Sage, 2016), the Handbook of Communication and Corporate Reputation (2013), and Corporate Reputation and the News Media. His teaching and research focus on corporate affairs, corporate reputation, corporate social responsibility, and corporate communication research methods. He serves on the editorial board of several scientific journals in these areas. He has given talks on these topics in universities and companies in over 20 countries.
Dr. Carroll was named Trust Across America-Trust Around the World’s 2020 Top Thought Leaders in Trust. He is a previous recipient of PR News’ Educator of the Year and the Andrew W. Mellon Award for Mentoring from the University of Southern California.
